SAL 283 distributed fleeces on August 7 to CalVet staff and presented holiday gift bags to 210 residents at the West LA Campus, continuing their annual tradition.

Congratulations to American Legion Pacific Palisades SONS for receiving the National Americanism Award at the SONS National Convention. 

American Legion Palisades Post 283 hosted its first Women's Forum, which offered a supportive platform for service women and veterans to address challenges, celebrate achievements and build a network.

Post 283 Finance Officer Todd Hickman, American Legion Department of CA Chair of gaming efforts Andre Andrews, and former 283 Vice Commander and Department of CA Mental Health Committee Chair Tess Banko handed out much-needed supplies to formerly unsheltered and disadvantaged veterans at the West LA VA.

I am thrilled to welcome Joe Ramirez to the commander's chair. Joe brings a fresh vision and boundless energy to our post, and I am confident that his leadership will inspire all of us.
